We’ll be working on the East side of the hill starting at the culvert about half way along and moving North.

Working Bee this Monday 2 Feb at 8.30 am

Hi All,

Meet at Wickens Place Carpark, Fraser.

Weather looks mild (11-24) by comparison with now (Thursday, 29 January).

We will focus on taking out obvious woody weeds. Having said that only the very small one’s will pull easily due to hard ground and large one’s won’t be too receptive to cut and dab. Perhaps they’ll die from lack of moisture anyway.

CANCELLATION - Working Bee Tomorrow, 25 January 2026

The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ACT ESA) has declared a Total Fire Ban (TOBAN) for Sunday 25 January 2026.

As a consequence, Mount Rogers Landcare has decided to cancel the working bee scheduled tomorrow.

The Mount Rogers Landcare group is meeting at the Wickens Place carpark in Fraser at 8:30 am.

Please dress appropriately for the hot weather and bring plenty of drinking water.

No experience is necessary as you'll have plenty of guidance along the way!

First working bee for 2026, Sunday 25 January

Hi All,

First session of the year……

It’s going to be rather warm on Sunday so we’ll start at 8.30 and probably call it quits after about an hour or so depending on how we feel.

The ground will be hard but I’ve still managed to pull most smaller woody weed seedlings of late.  Also the dabbing after cutting may not be as effective as we would like…. So be it. We can map/record anything substantial we choose to leave. Bagging may be valuable too.
