Working Bee - Sunday 23 August 2026

Hello All,

Upcoming Working Bees:
  • Sunday 23 August – 4th Sunday of the Month
  • Monday 7th September – First Monday of the month
Meet at Wickens Place Carpark at 9.00am.

Please encourage others to attend.
We’ll be tackling the usual weed suspects such as Privet, ivy, Briar Rose, and assorted others if we see them.
We’ll start at the “5 ways” junction, just down from the comms tower and work on the smaller Cootamundras in tight clusters. Loppers and dabbers at the ready!

Mt Rogers is looking great.

Regards,
Phil, Roger & Ted (Co-convenors)

Working Bee, 3 August, Snapshot

I thought I'd share this amusing photo of one of the curious locals who was keen to have their photo taken alongside a soon-to-be-removed, thistle rosette!

Much like the Paterson's curse rosette, thistles have a central tap root. It's far easier to remove them at this early stage of development and at a time when the soil is moist after rain.
