Working Bee, 3 August, Snapshot

I thought I'd share this amusing photo of one of the curious locals who was keen to have their photo taken alongside a soon-to-be-removed, thistle rosette!

Much like the Paterson's curse rosette, thistles have a central tap root. It's far easier to remove them at this early stage of development and at a time when the soil is moist after rain.
